Modern vehicles are wondrous machines. One of the reasons why they are such technological marvels is the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system. The HVAC system keeps the car cool when it’s hot out and warm when it’s cold–keeping us comfortable while we are driving.
The HVAC system involves many components and sensors to work, but there are two main components, one for cooling and one for heating. The heater core is the main component of the heating system. It is placed behind the dashboard and is turned on when the heat is in use.
The AC compressor is the main component of the cooling system, whereby it pumps refrigerated gas, which is then sent to the condenser.
Other HVAC System Components
- AC/Heater Control Module
- Water Pump
- Heater Hoses
- Heater Blower Motor
- Hot Water Valve
- AC Dryer
- AC Evaporator
- AC Belt
- AC Accumulator
As you can see, the HVAC system is very complex. A failure of any one of these components will cause problems with cooling and heating. If you are experiencing any issues with your cooling (A/C) or heating systems, you need to schedule a visit to the European Service Center.
Our ASE certified service mechanics have the tools to inspect, diagnose, and repair any HVAC issues you may be having.
