Air Suspension Is the Repair That Defines This Brand
On a Range Rover or Range Rover Sport, the air suspension will need attention before almost anything else does. Compressors work harder than the design brief assumed. Air struts develop pinhole leaks at the bellows, and the height sensors drift out of calibration over time.

Most modern Land Rovers are mild hybrids, and the electrical architecture is now where the hard faults live. In April 2026, NHTSA recall 26V248000 covered a long list of MHEV models — 2020–2024 Range Rover and Defender, 2019–2024 Range Rover Sport, plus Velar, Evoque and Discovery — where a DC-DC converter fault causes a loss of 12-volt charging and can take out drive power and exterior lighting entirely.
Diagnosis matters more than parts here. A dead 12-volt battery, a converter fault and a parasitic drain all look identical on a Monday morning, and swapping the battery on a guess just buys you a week. Then you’re back.
Fluids and Cooling Are Where the Cheap Wins Are
Coolant, transmission fluid and differential fluid are the least glamorous line items on a Land Rover estimate and the ones that pay for themselves. Supercharged and turbocharged V6 and V8 engines run hot. Georgia and Texas summers don’t help.
