Mercedes ML350 Repair and Service in Atlanta, Dallas, and Houston

3-year/36,000-mile nationwide limited warranty

The ML350 hasn’t been sold new since 2015 — Mercedes renamed the line GLE for 2016 — and that’s precisely why this page matters. There are a great many still on the road in Georgia and Texas, nearly all well outside any factory warranty, kept by owners who like them and would rather repair than replace. That’s a sensible position. It just needs a shop that knows the car. European Service Center has worked on Mercedes since 1979 — nine shops, five around Atlanta and four across Dallas and Houston.

Every ML350 Is Now an Older Vehicle, and That Changes the Priorities

The last ML350 was a 2015 model. So the conversation isn’t about maintaining a new car — it’s about which of a known set of age-related items has come due on yours.

Rubber and plastic are the theme. Bushings, hoses, coolant flanges, valve cover gaskets, suspension components. None of it is exotic. All of it is cheaper addressed on a schedule than discovered on a shoulder.

Air Suspension, If You Have It, Is the Big One

Airmatic was optional on the ML, and the ones fitted with it develop the same slow leak every air system does. A corner sitting low after the car has been parked overnight is the first real evidence.

Fix the strut and the compressor generally survives. Wait and you buy both. Owners without Airmatic get conventional springs and a far simpler bill, which is why knowing which suspension your car actually has is the first question rather than the last.

The BlueTEC Diesel Is a Different Service Animal

ML350 BlueTEC models run a V6 diesel with an emissions system that needs DEF and behaves nothing like the gas car. Reduced power — limp mode — is usually a sensor or an emissions-side fault rather than mechanical damage.

Diagnosis matters more than parts here. A glow plug circuit, a sensor and an exhaust-side warning all feel identical from the driver’s seat. Guessing is expensive.

Oil Leaks Are the Most Common ML Job

Valve cover gaskets and the oil filter housing lead the list, and both harden with age in a warm engine bay. After a decade in a Southern climate, that’s most of them.

You’ll usually smell it before you see it. Oil on a hot exhaust manifold, noticed at a stoplight. Act on that one.

Cooling Parts Are Where an Old SUV Gets Expensive

Thermostat housings, coolant flanges, hoses and the water pump all reach the end of their useful life around this age. Overheating is what turns a manageable repair into an engine.

Watch the gauge in traffic, not on the highway. And a coolant level that keeps falling with nothing on the driveway is going somewhere warm — that one gets looked at this week.

Mercedes ML350 Service FAQs

Is the ML350 still made?

No. Mercedes renamed the line GLE for the 2016 model year, so the last ML350 was a 2015. Parts and service remain widely available, and plenty are still on the road here.

How often does an ML350 need servicing?

Follow the in-car Service A and Service B schedule. On a vehicle this age, annual attention to fluids, brakes and cooling matters more than mileage does.

Why does my ML350 sit lower on one corner?

If it has Airmatic air suspension, that’s a leak — a strut, a line, or a compressor worn from covering for one. Not all MLs have Airmatic, so the first step is confirming which suspension yours uses.

Do you service the ML350 BlueTEC diesel?

Yes. Diesel MLs come through regularly, and most of what they need is diagnosis first — limp mode has several possible causes that feel identical from behind the wheel.

Where can I get an ML350 serviced near Atlanta?

Any of our five Georgia shops — Alpharetta, Atlanta Piedmont Road, Atlanta Roswell Road, Duluth and Sandy Springs.
