FAQ FOR EUROPEAN SERVICE CENTER IN DULUTH, GEORGIA

What should I do if my car is burning oil?

If your car is burning through oil faster than you can keep it at the correct level, it’s time to bring it to a professional. Our team will inspect and diagnose whether or not the issue is coming from the piston rings, valve seals, or excessive wear and tear. What you can do before our services is, first and foremost, use the correct full-synthetic oil that your vehicle requires. Also monitor the oil level itself and check for any leaks that may be contributing to a lack of oil in the compartment. Keep an eye out for blue exhaust smoke as that is a clear sign that your car is burning oil.

What should I do if my car temperature is low?

A car that’s experiencing low temperatures should be inspected thoroughly to get to the root of the cause. Whether you bring it to our mechanics or check yourself, watch out for low coolant levels, damaged sensors and pumps, as well as a faulty thermostat. If this arises, make sure to observe the temperature gauge to make sure it gets to the appropriate levels, check your coolant levels under the hood, and look for any leaks below the car. More often than not, your engine just needs to warm up, which is why we suggest letting your car idle when you first turn it on, especially on those cold mornings.

Why is my car overheating but coolant is full?
If your car is overheating but the coolant level is full, then there could be a different issue at hand. We suggest checking the radiator and cooling system first to see if there’s a small problem that needs fixed – such as a:

  • Faulty thermostat
  • Clogged radiator
  • Water Pump Malfunction
  • Blown head gasket
  • Broken radiator fan and/or cap

At the first sign of an issue, make sure you’re pulled over in a safe spot to inspect. Contact us for professional services so you can be at ease!

Why is my car shaking?
From the tires and engine to brakes, axles, and wheels, the cause of your car shaking could be due to a variety of reasons. Whether it’s damaged spark plugs, dirty filters, warped brake rotors, bent or damaged axles, or loose wheel bearings and worn ball joints, the issue could lead to a more significant repair down the road if not treated right away. In order to resolve it quickly and efficiently, you’ll need to undergo a diagnostic inspection. We also suggest scheduling regular maintenance so that these parts are consistently checked and updated to avoid any future problems.
How do I jumpstart a car?
If your car’s battery dies, you’ll need to jumpstart it. Jumpstarting a car is a simple yet dangerous task that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It’s important to know how to handle jumper cables and which terminals to attach the clamps too. Before attaching anything, you’ll want to make sure both car engines are off. Then, pop the hood and get your jumper cables ready. While they aren’t hooked up, clamps can touch. But when they are hooked up to the vehicle battery, you’ll want to make sure the clamps never touch, as that can electrocute you. When in doubt, remember to connect the red jumper cable clamp to the positive terminal of the dead battery and the other red clamp to the positive terminal of the working one. The black clamp should be attached to the negative terminals of both batteries. Once everything’s attached, start the working car first, then the dead battery car second, letting it run for about a few minutes. After it’s good to go, make sure to remove the cables in the reverse order in which you applied them.
