5000 miles standard checkup
– BMWs need regular upkeep and every 5000 miles you’ll want to have the front and rear brakes inspected and the fluids checked. You’ll also want your coolant and engine oil checked, as well as a vehicle inspection that includes the cabin air filters, wipers, and engine. Tire rotation is also ideal and the width of the tread will be checked.
10,000 miles
– At the 10,000 mile mark, engine oil should be replaced and the oil filter as well. Aside from this, the coolant should be topped up for good measure.
20,000 and 30,000 miles
– At around 20,000 miles, your fuel filters need to be looked at and possibly replaced and every 30,000 miles manual transmission BMWs will need their transmission fluid replaced. Brake fluid is also replaced at the first 30,000 miles and then every 60,000 miles afterwards. Our technicians are not only fully trained to maintain and repair BMWs, but also have years of experience to bring to the table.
Here are just a few examples of common BMW repairs that we do every day:
Cooling system issues or failures
That trademark punch of power that your BMW gives at your command comes at a cost – the engine is going to run VERY hot. As such, your cooling system needs to be closely monitored as one small problem can quickly become a disaster for your BMW’s high-performance engine. At European Service Center we are well aware of issues like this and can not only repair them, but help you to avoid them in the first place!
Electric model battery issues
Around 160,000 electric model BMWS were recalled in the United States over an issue with the lithium-ion batteries discharging prematurely and no longer holding a charge. We know about this and a score of other minor electric issues that can occur with these vehicles, so we can help to get you fixed up fast!
Leaky oil filter gasket
If your BMW’s oil filter gasket housing isn’t checked regularly, then it can become compromised and result in leakage. This usually manifests first as a problem starting the car in cold weather, but can lead to smoke and even an engine fire if unchecked = as that oil can end up on the exhaust manifold! Little facts like this are our bread and butter and you’ll get the full benefit of our experience by choosing us to help protect your investment.
